SMASH*aholics Celebration - Challenge 2!

Over at the SMASH*aholics facebook group we have reached 3000 members! Woo Hoo!! To celebrate we are having a week of challenges and games with some fun prizes!! If you are not already a member of this group but are a SMASH* fan like me then you should check it out!!

I'm hosting the second challenge of the celebration and the challenge is "to use stamps on your SMASH* page". You can't have a celebration without prizes can you ... so a random winner will be selected to win the latest digi release from the amazingly talented Angie Delarie !! Yay!!!

These digis are called "Education Calendar Tags" and "Gianne Graduate". Aren't they so perfect for your SMASH* pages! I've used some of the Education tags on my SMASH* page below.

You have until 1st May to enter the challenge and it is open worldwide!!

On to my inspiration for the challenge.

My father loves restoring vintage cars. He has a number of Model T Fords. The one in this photo is the Ute/Truck version. [We call them ute's in Australia but I believe they are referred to as trucks in USA]. When we last visited the farm "Poppa" took my eldest daughter for a ride. It was very special for her as she had 1-1 time with Poppa and likes to think of herself as a bit of a car gal! She seems to prefer the latest HSV Club Sport (or whatever it is called) though!

I've used my Blue SMASH* folio and I've used  Give A Girl A ... stamp sets (arrows from You are the Best set; Perfect photo, Cheese, smile, Insta moment and picture perfect from Picture Perfect set coming in May), Dear Lizzy lucky charm papers and die cuts, Studio Calico wood veneers and feather mistables (sprayed with Heidi Swapp color shine), Bo Bunny coffee mug stain stamp and tags, bag, doilie, twine, and paper clip from my stash.

The Class of Miss Jessica!

My youngest daughter started school last term and now just loves to play teachers with her dolls. On this day she had set up the easel with felt alphabet letters then lined up a heap of chairs for her class. The students sat very nicely and listened very carefully the whole time (lol). It was gorgeous!

The latest digi release (due out any day now!) from Angie Delarie is "Gianne Graduate" these were just perfect for my latest photos.
These are available uncoloured and in this green colour or a blue colour. Aren't they amazing! I like to print mine on photo paper and cut them out ready for quick embellishments on my SMASH* projects.

I've used a heap of stamps from Give A Girl A ... ("blah blah blah & I love this girl" from Best Friends set, "insta moment" from Keen as mustard set). Remember to use the code KARYN for 15% off your order when you spend over $10.

I've used my Blue SMASH* folio and I've also used Amy Tangerine Yes Please papers, Studio Calico wood veneers, October Afternoon alphas, Bo Bunny splatter stamps, and a tag, bag, twine, sequins and cardboard from my stash.

I've made this page for the Angie Delarie Challenge this week which is "recycle". I've used cardboard from an old box, the sequins are left over from a calisthenics costume, and the kraft bag and the brown twine are from packaging from an online purchase.

Cousins!

More SMASH*ing from me, I'm trying catch up on my March pages in my 2013 journal. Aren't these photos gorgeous! They are of my eldest daughter with her 4 week old cousin. Rachael loved being the big cousin and Maria loved being held.

I've used the "You are the best" stamp set from Give A Girl A ... was perfect for this page (specifically: my happy place, hello, and a banner). I've also used the "Today" stamp set (love this moment and moment captured on). Remember to use the code KARYN for 15% off your order when you spend over $10.

I've used my 365 SMASH* folio (my 2013 Smash-book) and I've also used a doilie, bag, tag, various heart embellishments, washi, paperclip, stickers and butterflies  from my stash.

Guess Who's Got A New TV?

Are you a member of the SMASH*aholics facebook group? If you are a SMASH* fan like me then you should check it out!!

I'm one of the Admins over there and we have decided to run some monthly challenges to inspire and motivate you to maybe try something different. I'm hosting the first challenge and it is to use some of my favourite embellishments - "doilies, paint and twine"!
I even have a prize of some of my most favourite SMASH* embellishments to give to a random winner. You have until 15th April (Australian time) to enter the challenge and it is open worldwide!!

On to my inspiration for the challenge.

We have just got a new TV. I think we were the last people in Australia to get a digital flat screen. Our old TV was one of those clunky boxes that was deeper than the screen size (hahaha). Well let me tell you ... it is amazing! The resolution is fantastic and watching a blu-ray movie is just like at the cinema! Apparently it is 3D too but we haven't tried that yet. Of course i had to SMASH that event!!

The photo on the LHS is of my daughter playing dress-ups. all of her teddies and toys were dressed up as fairy princesses too - just gorgeous!

I've splattered brown paint in my 365 SMASH* folio and I've used Amy Tangerine "Ready Set Go" stickers and diecuts, Dear Lizzie roller date stampand a tag, doilie, twine and bag from my stash.
