SMASH*ing Me!

Some time back I posted about a fabulous mixed media course I did with Finnibar - well this is the SMASH* page about it. Usually my pages are about the rest of my family - seemed strange doing this about me.

On this SMASH* page I've used a heap of stamps from Give A Girl A ... ( "I was here" and "This happened today" from Today stamp set; "Awesome" from Keen as Mustard stamp set). Remember to use the code KARYN for 15% off your order when you spend over $10.

I've used my 365 SMASH* folio and I've also used an Angie Delarie "Wynta" digiDear Lizzie Neapolitan papers, Studio Calico wood veneers, and a tag, bag, twine, and washi from my stash.

On My Bike!

During the last school holidays we spent some time teaching our youngest how to ride her bike without training wheels. Although we live on a farm with lots of open space the ground is quite steep and uneven so it is a bit hard to learn to ride a bike. So we took her to a local sports oval for a few days in a row where she could ride on the oval - softer for falling on. She still is not quite an independent rider but we have made a start.

On this SMASH* page I've also used a heap of stamps from Give A Girl A ... ("love", "insta moment", "Un real banana peel" and "Photo Op" from the Keen as Mustard stamp set; banners from the You are the Best stamp set; "here" from the Endless Summer stamp set). Remember to use the code KARYN for 15% off your order when you spend over $10.

I've used my 365 SMASH* folio and I've also used Simple Stories Sn@p papers; Amy Tangerine ribbons; Studio Calico wood veneers; Bo Bunny coffee mug stain & paint splotch stamps; and a tag, bag, twine, sequins, & paperclip from my stash.

Felicity From The 50's!

Have you met "Felicity from the 50's"? She is one of the latest digi release from Angie Delarie. Isn't she adorable! Perhaps she is not much of a beach babe but I do get that holiday vibe from her.

I was playing around with this page and decided to paint a rainbow using my watercolours, what do you think? Something a bit different. I will say though, it did warp my page more than I would have liked. It is not that bad but it does make it harder to photograph with a buckled page.

On this SMASH* page I've also used a heap of stamps from Give A Girl A ... ("Here" from the Favourite stamp set; "I was here" from the Today stamp set; "summer fun" from the Endless Summer stamp set; and "Blahblahblah" from the Best Friends stamp set). Remember to use the code KARYN for 15% off your order when you spend over $10.

I've used my Red SMASH* folio and I've also used Studio Calico wood veneers; washi, ribbon and twine from the "Colour my world" kit from Polly! Scrap Kits and  sequins from my stash.

I Was Here!

When Jessica started school earlier this year she had Wednesday's off for the first month. This was our fun day where we played board games (snakes n ladders was a big hit!) and did craft. Jessica was very proud of this "family on a bus" she made from an egg carton.

On this SMASH* page I've used a heap of stamps from Give A Girl A ... ("Today", "I was here" and "This is my favourite" from Today stamp set; "Good work" from You are the Best stamp set). Remember to use the code KARYN for 15% off your order when you spend over $10.

I've used my 365 SMASH* folio and the tag, bag, twine, doilie, postage stamp stickers and heart diecuts and duck paperclip from my stash.

My Happy Place!

Happy Mothers Day to all you amazing, precious and gorgeous Mothers out there! I hope you are having a special day being thoroughly spoilt by your family!! My eldest daughter Rachael made me a wonderful slideshow of photos of her and me - what special memories!!

Something that you may not know about me is that I've always had a love for horses. Before children I used to love competing in dressage. But after children ... no time for horses it seemed. Well nowadays Rachael occasionally rides my special horse "Wally". He is a gentle giant really and at times still gives Rachael that elegant dressage experience from "back in the day". I find it difficult to teach her to ride myself because I'm too scared she will fall off (yeah, its a mum thing) so I get an instructor to come over occasionally and teach her properly.

The latest digi release from Angie Delarie is "Education Calendar Tags". These are so quirky and perfect on this page. I've also used one of her "vintage love cameras" digis.

I've used a heap of stamps from Give A Girl A ... ("Today is going to be" from Today set; "My Buddy" from the My Buddy set; "Un real banana peel" from Keen As Mustard; "My happy place" and banner from You are the Best set). Remember to use the code KARYN for 15% off your order when you spend over $10.

I've used my Blue SMASH* folio and I've also used Dear Lizzie Lucky Charm papers, Studio Calico wood veneers and feather Mistables (sprayed with Heidi Swapp color shine)and a tag, bag, twine, sequins, "Happy" ribbon and Aeroplane paperclip from my stash.

Give A Girl A ... and A Flair For Buttons Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Give A Girl A ... and A Flair For Buttons Blog Hop!

This hop is full of inspiration from both teams and there are prizes to be won ... yay!!! So hop along with us and enjoy the ride!

If you have come from the amazingly talented Diane then you are right on track. If not you should go to the very start with {a flair for buttons}.

I'm so excited to be part of this hop. I just love the products from both of these businesses and have had a lot of fun using their stamps and flair on my SMASH* page.

I just love to SMASH* - its my version of scrapbooking but much quicker and more fun in many ways. I'm more tempted to be more "adventurous" with SMASH*ing and not worry so much if things don't turn out quite as planned, remember that it is as much about the journey as the destination. This page has a photo of my youngest daughter leading our dog Sheridan around - I'm not really sure if the dog is all that happy about it lol. I've sprayed some white doilies with Color Shine and they turned out amazing. Actually I sprayed a heap of them in different colours so they are ready whenever I need them.

From Give A Girl A ... I've used the My Buddy stamp set (walkies, my biddy, woof woof, just want to be with you, & It's a dogs life) and You are the best stamp set (the banners)Use the code KARYN for 15% off your Give A Girl A... order.

From A Flair For Buttons I've used "Got Dog" flair - aren't they so fun!

I've used my Blue SMASH* folio (and it is finished now woo hoo!!) and I've also used some Amy Tangerine Yes Please papers, puffy stickers and diecuts, Simple Stories SN@P papers, Studio Calico wood veneers, Heidi Swapp Color shine (amethyst and sweet cherry), and doilies and twine from my stash.

It wouldn't be a blog hop without prizes would it!! So make sure you leave a comment on all the blogs to be in the running to win either some flair or a stamp set. Entries will close midnight Monday.

Now continue this hop with the lovely Erica where I'm sure you will find some more amazing inspiration.

Here is the Hop list if you get lost

Hmmm Coffee!

I love to get a coffee (Latte that is) whenever I'm out shopping. And my daughter loves to join in with a hot chocolate! These photos were taken when we went clothes shopping - just the 2 of us (which is a rare opportunity).

I've used lots of stamps from Give A Girl A ... (specifically "coffee break" the cups and coffee beans" from the Tea For 2 set; "my happy place", "Hello" and the arrows from the You Are the Best set). Remember to use the code KARYN for 15% off your order when you spend over $10.

I've used my 365 SMASH* folio and I've also used Angie Delarie Vintage Love Camera digi and Slurpie Cup digi, Studio Calico wood veneers, and a tag, bag, twine, and washi from my stash.
