A Birthday Card!

Lately I generally prefer to make simpler styled cards. But today I've made one with a coloured image and lots of gorgeous embellishments! The image is one I coloured a while back - I found a stash of coloured images so thought I should use them. I've used my cool grey copics on this gorgeous "bye bye" girl from Mo Manning. I love the look of black and white/grey shades colouring!!

I've used a heap of fabulous D-lish Scraps embellishments on this page, specifically cabachon resin flowers, cosmos daisies, azalea, sequin string, freckled fawn wood veneer hearts, paper doilie, and mini sequins.

Other products I've used include Stampin' Up! red and white cardstock; Dear Lizzie Lucky Charm papers; and digi sentiment tags.

Here I Come!

Another scrap page from me today. This page did not turn out how I initially envisaged - very frustrating in a way, but that is OK I put it down to experimenting. The biggest problem (from my perspective) is the title, but by the time I realised it was stuck down and it was the last thing I did on the page so I couldn't start again. Looking back I would rather it have been smaller and clustered around the photo. Also I would have preferred if the paint spats went all the way down the page. But I do love the bright colours of the page and the paint splat effect. Do you ever have pages like this? Do you start again? or just move on? I prefer to move on!

I've used a heap of fabulous D-lish Scraps embellishments on this page, specifically cabachon resin flowers, resin mini daisies, crocheted flowers, crochet doilie, bitty blooms, lillies, cosmos daisies, forget-me-nots, sequin string, flair, freckled fawn wood veneer, shipping tags, & cotton twine.

Other products I've used include Glitz Design tape and diecuts; Stampin' Up! white, yellow, green & blue cardstock; Amy Tangerine Thickers; Simple Stories Sn@p stickers; Martha Stewart leaf punch; a chevron bag from my stash; and I've used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the polaroid frames and "fun" tag.

Visiting Santa Claus!

NO, I have not already been to visit Santa! This is a photo from last year :) Yes, I am still catching up on scrapbooking last Christmas lol.

I love red at Christmas (as well as gold, silver and green!) and wanted to make a page that was just red. I've also showcased a heap of the October Christmas release from Kellie Stamps. From the Elf mini stamp set I've used the row of baubles, and from the Christmas 2013 stamp set I've used "visiting Santa Claus", Hohoho", "Falalala", reindeer, Christmas tree, Christmas baubles, holly and bauble images.

I splattered red paint across the page and other products I've used include D-lish Scraps bitty blooms & forget-me-nots; Prima flowers; Stampin' Up! white cardstock and patterned papers; Amy Tangerine thickers; and twine, crocheted doilie, red berries, flair, & adhesive pearl from my stash.

My Life, My Daughters!

My page for today is all about the lovely bright colours found in this months gorgeous October '13 Half Tart kit from Lime Tart. Isn't the orange just stunning!!

The photo on this page is of me and my two girls - why do they insist on pulling a funny face in EVERY photo?!?!

On this page I've used the TCW halftone border mask available from Lime tart. From the kit I've used the patterned paper, a glassine bag, lots of twine, some label stickers, thickers and an Ice accent.

I've also added a flair, flowers, stamps, wood veneers, diecuts, enamel dots and alpha stickers from my stash.

In addition to the Oct'13 Half Tart kit and mask from the Lime Tart store I've used D-lish Scraps bitty blooms, cosmos daisies & forget-me-nots; a Charms Creations embellishment; Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake cardstock; Pebbles roller date stamp; Simple Stories Sn@p alpha stickers; and enamel dots & flair from my stash. I've used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the polaroid frame and life arrow.

Hugs for Mama!

I'm really enjoying scrapbooking at the moment. I love the larger sized pages and the ability to leave "white space". I also love being able to use masks and mists.

Todays page is typical of my style with paint splats, masking, and embellishment clusters. The photo was taken recently of my baby girl and I waiting for the school bus. I was so lucky getting lots of extra "bonus" hugs before the bus arrived. Jessica also wrote on the tag I used in my layout - all her own design!

I love to use a variety of unique and individual embellishments on my creations. D-lish Scraps is an Australian online store that stocks a hugs range at fantastic prices. On this page I've used cabachon resin flowers, crocheted flowers, bitty blooms, lillies, cosmos daisies, forget-me-nots, mini metal flowers, sequin bow, resin mini daisies, flair, freckled fawn wood veneer, shipping tags, paper doilie, cotton twine, washi tape, and mini sequins.

Other products I've used include Stampin' Up! white cardstock; TCW chickenwire reversed template and Chalkboard mist; Amy Tangerine Scetchbook papers and thickers; MME cut & paste label stickers; Studio Calico wood veneer; Pebbles roller date stamp; Basic Grey alphas; and a chevron bag from my stash.

D-lish Scraps and Life in Details!

There is a new Challenge blog called Life in Details! It is a challenge blog for those documenting their life using either pocket page scrapbooking (like Project life) or SMASH* books. They run monthly challenges with some awesome prize sponsors, and heaps of fabulous inspiration!

The challenge for October is to use this sketch. The SMASH*ers can use it as a page sketch and the PL'ers can use the sketch on one of their cards.

Here is my inspiration page. I did find the washi/paper strips a bit hard to work with initially but I think this works and I always love to challenge myself!

I've used a heap of fun embellishments from D-lish Scraps on this page, specifically cabachon resin flowers, crocheted flowers, bitty blooms, pick-n-place bows, freckled fawn wood veneer and dew drops, shipping tags, paper doilie, cotton twine, washi tape and mini sequins.

Paper Piecing with Prima Doll Stamps!

Have you seen the gorgeous Prima Doll Stamps that are available now. Lime Tart has a selection and ... um ... all of them seemed to jump into my shopping card lol!!

They are quite a bit bigger than the stamps I have used in the past so I've upgraded my cards to a larger 21cm x 10.5cm size. Fortunately there is a 22cm x 11cm sized envelope easily available at most newsagents and post offices so I didn't have to resort to making my own.

I've used a paper piecing technique with these stamps using papers from the gorgeous September '13 Gourmet Tart kit from Lime Tart

First select the patterned papers you would like to use on the stamped image (I just used them on the clothes). I find that smaller prints tend to work better for paper piecing. Then stamp the complete image on some white or cream cardstock, and stamp again on the patterned paper.

Next you will need to get out your best fussy cutting scissors (and fingers) and carefully cut out the images. Cut as close to the outside of the lines as you can. I have also cut out the space between her legs and arms (a craft knife is often best for this).

I then glue the clothes onto the base image and colour the hair and shoes with markers. Finally add this all to the card with some coordinating patterned papers, diecuts, adhesive pearls and twine (all from Lime Tart).

In addition to the Gourmet Tart kit and other products from the Lime Tart store I've used Studio Calico flowers; D-lish Scraps daisies; Stampin' Up! naturals ivory cardstock, ink, birthday stamp, punch & lace trim;  and doilies from my stash.

Christmas has Arrived at Kellie Stamps, and a GIVEAWAY!

Have you seen the latest Christmas releases by Kellie Stamps? Aren't these 2 stamp sets just gorgeous!!

Today Kellie and her DT are getting together to showcase how you can use these stamps on Christmas cards. I have been thinking about making Christmas cards for the past month or so but hadn't had time to start so this latest release from Kellie Stamps was just the motivation I needed.

I started on one card then I played around with the base design and stamp choice and after about 2 hours I'd made 6 cards, yay!!!!

In addition to the stamps I used some Lost and Found Christmas papers; Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake cardstock; Studio Calico wood veneer trees; and twine, gold twine, bells, star brads, and red pearls from my stash.

We are so excited about this new release that we have some prizes, yay!!!
I'm giving away one of the adorable Elf stamp sets.
To be in the running to win this set leave me a comment and I will select a winner at random. Entries close Thursday 10th October.

Head on over to the other gorgeous ladies blogs for more amazing ideas on how to use these stamps on your Christmas cards and a chance to win other prizes.
